CEO & Co-Founder
Paul brings unique experiences from leading product, marketing and sales in some of Silicon Valley’s most innovative, market-creating, private and public software companies. Most recently Paul was Chief Revenue Officer at Marketo (NASDAQ: MKTO) where he drove the overall revenue strategy across sales and marketing that delivered global revenue growth over 100% year-over-year, from $14m to $58m. In a similar position at SuccessFactors, he grew revenues to more than $200m and over 80% year-over-year growth. Previously, Paul led worldwide marketing at NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) and at Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA), which he joined pre-revenue through their successful IPO. He also served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Greylock. Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aasonn, Captora, and Clarizen, and is a frequent speaker and blogger, helping to demystify modern marketing strategies that accelerate growth in high-performing companies.
VP, Customer Success
Randall brings with him 10+ years of experience in the SaaS digital marketing space building and leading global teams focused on customer success, technical sales and professional services. Prior to Captora, his experience includes leadership positions in business consulting and customer success at Omniture, Inc. prior to its acquisition by Adobe Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBE) for $1.8 billion. His tenure at Adobe Systems, Inc. also included leadership positions in pre-sales and customer success where he implemented programs that significantly influenced sales of $100m + in annual, closed revenue as well as CSAT and customer retention including an audit program that drove a 20%+ improvement in CSAT metrics. Randall holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. His passions include pioneering new frontiers and doing a lot with little.
VP, Engineering & Product Management
Mike brings 20+ years of technology and management experience, leading innovation in business intelligence, security, databases, and applications. Prior to Captora, Mike was VP of Engineering at Jaspersoft/Tibco, building industry-leading Business Intelligence software. Previously, Mike led engineering team at Sana Security, building ground-breaking malware detection technology. At Complete Genomics Mike led automation of the first Genome Sequencing Factory. Previously Mike was part of the founding team at Luna Information Systems where he led development of the EJB Application Server. Prior to Luna, Mike built asynchronous database replication technology at Sybase.
Mike holds Master’s Degree in Computer Science from UCLA. Mike’s passion is building cutting-edge technology, strong engineering teams, and innovative products.
Head of Product Monetization
Brandon heads up Captora’s product monetization and business operations efforts. Prior to joining Captora, Brandon was a member of the venture capital investment team at NEA where he spent his time investing in and supporting NEA’s enterprise software portfolio companies. Brandon previously served on Barclays’ Financial Sponsors investment banking team in New York. At Barclays, Brandon worked on a variety of recapitalization, IPO, and LBO transactions for private equity clients across a number of industry verticals including software, industrials, and retail. Brandon graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a dual set of Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Systems Engineering.
Head of Software Quality & Customer Support
Marina heads up Product Quality and Technical Support teams. Prior to joining Captora, Marina spent 9 years building Jaspersoft engineering teams which led to successful acquisition by TIBCO. At Jaspersoft she was responsible for the QA, Release, and Engineering Infrastructure teams. She also spearheaded and led all offshore operations across the company. During her time at Jaspersoft, she grew her team from just her to over thirty people and won multiple industry awards. Previous to her stint at Jaspersoft, she spent time at Oracle (applications) and Intuit. Outside of work, she is either taking soulcycle classes or spending time with her friends and family (and puppy).
Head of Talent & Staffing
Colleen has been part of the Bay Area’s recruiting scene since the database wars in the early ‘90’s. She has recruited A-players to some of the Valley’s fastest growing software companies, most recently as Manager of Global Recruiting at Marketo. As Captora’s Head of Talent & Staffing, Colleen is enthusiastic about attracting, hiring and developing amazing and talented individuals to help us build and grow our model company. Outside of work, Colleen enjoys international travel, time with friends and family, and is a long-standing season ticket holder and passionate fan of our World Champion SF Giants!
Board Member & Investor – Bain Capital Ventures
Ajay represents Bain Capital Ventures (BCV) on the Captora Board and has been a part of the Captora story from day 1, incubating the company out of BCV’s Palo Alto office.
Ajay joined BCV in 2003 to focus on early stage mobile, internet, and software investments. Previously, Ajay spent 7+ years at Trilogy Software. As head of sales and marketing, Ajay grew Trilogy’s annual revenues to $300 million and led product expansion into new areas such as enterprise pricing and enterprise incentive management. Prior to Trilogy, Ajay was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Ajay has a BS in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Ajay also holds a patent for the “Method and Apparatus of Configuration Solutions.”
Board Member & Investor – New Enterprise Associates
Scott is a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates, Inc. (NEA) and head of NEA’s Technology investing practice. Since 1996, Scott has led investments in companies like Bloom Energy, Salesforce.com, Tableau Software, WebEx, and Workday. Scott has been named to the Forbes Midas List several times, with 16 technology companies in his portfolio having successfully completed public offerings or mergers. Prior to NEA, Scott was a Product Manager at Microsoft. Before Microsoft, Scott was the first salesperson at C-ATS Software and later founded and ran the company’s European subsidiary. Scott began his career at the Boston Consulting Group and holds an MBA from Stanford and an AB in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
