CEO & Co-Founder
Paul brings unique experiences from leading product, marketing and sales in some of Silicon Valley’s most innovative, market-creating, private and public software companies. Most recently Paul was Chief Revenue Officer at Marketo (NASDAQ: MKTO) where he drove the overall revenue strategy across sales and marketing that delivered global revenue growth over 100% year-over-year, from $14m to $58m. In a similar position at SuccessFactors, he grew revenues to more than $200m and over 80% year-over-year growth. Previously, Paul led worldwide marketing at NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) and at Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA), which he joined pre-revenue through their successful IPO. He also served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Greylock. Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aasonn, Captora, and Clarizen, and is a frequent speaker and blogger, helping to demystify modern marketing strategies that accelerate growth in high-performing companies.
SVP of Engineering
Joseph brings to Captora expertise in developing leading-edge technologies and successfully bringing them to market. His 25-year track record includes numerous CTO and engineering positions driving technical strategy and its execution. Most recently at Jaspersoft/TIBCO, Joseph drove the company’s transition from a reporting software vendor to a business intelligence software company and a number one provider of embedded BI, which led to a successful acquisition by TIBCO. Joseph also co-founded and served as CTO of Skytide, a digital media performance management company, acquired by Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS), and held other senior positions at a p-to-p pioneer ChainCast Networks, acquired by OpticFusion (EVP of Engineering and CTO); one of the first media asset management companies, MediaGuarantee (VP of Engineering and Co-founder); and a multi-media database pioneer Cinebase, acquired by Corbis (Director of Engineering). Earlier in his career Joseph was the founding engineer, manager and lead architect of Arbor Software, the first commercial OLAP vendor that IPOed in 1995. He holds a BS in Applied Mathematics and MS in Computer Science from Moscow State University of Transport.
Head of Products
Sudhir joins Captora as its Head of Products responsible for all aspects of Product Management and Product Marketing. He most recently was at Ooyala and spent 4 years leading the product management team and delivering industry leading video analytics, optimization and delivery solutions to the world’s top media companies such as ESPN, Sky Sports etc. His prior companies include Cisco’s Internet Media Solutions group, Yahoo and Skyrider, a P2P media startup, which have given him the unique experience of delivering large scale B2B and B2C products to market. When not thinking about product, backlogs and launch plans, Sudhir is planning his next travel destination, listening to music or spending time watching/playing sport with his boys. He holds an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, an MS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from VJTI, University of Bombay.
VP of Customer Results
Brig joins Captora with extensive experience in Enterprise SaaS, bringing the ability to build customer services teams that deliver amazing results. His 15-year track record includes senior leadership positions at some of the most innovative and successful technology companies in SaaS and digital marketing, including: Adobe, Omniture, Domo, and Overstock.com. At his most recent company, Domo, Brig’s teams increased services revenue and customer installations by more than 10x YoY, beat solution architecture revenue targets by 60%, and grew the partner program from $0 to $16M in its first year of operation. Previously Brig ran Adobe’s global Value Engineering and Solution Architecture practice, and prior to that was Director of Consulting at Omniture. Over two years, Brig led the global services business for Omniture Test &Target (later re-named Adobe Target) from just 2 consultants and less than $300k in revenue, to $10M and dozens of globally-dispersed consultants and teams. Brig is passionate about data-driven marketing & innovation, and derives tremendous satisfaction from seeing those he manages become leaders themselves.
Brig is a former pro skier and competed in the half-pipe, slope-style and big air events at the US Open and X-Games Qualifiers. He also co-founded Gear.com and grew it from pre-revenue to 3 years+ of consecutive profitability, before a successful exit to private equity in 2012.
Head of Talent & Staffing
Colleen has been part of the Bay Area’s recruiting scene since the database wars in the early ‘90’s. She has recruited A-players to some of the Valley’s fastest growing software companies, most recently as Manager of Global Recruiting at Marketo. As Captora’s Head of Talent & Staffing, Colleen is enthusiastic about attracting, hiring and developing amazing and talented individuals to help us build and grow our model company. Outside of work, Colleen enjoys international travel, time with friends and family, and is a long-standing season ticket holder and passionate fan of our World Champion SF Giants!
Director of Solutions Consulting and Customer Success
Steeped in B2B software experience at Actuate, NetSuite, Marketo, and RightNow, Jason is focused on the culture of interactions and is passionate about the customer and employee experience. When not working with the needs of prospects and customers, you can find Jason celebrating with family and following the SF Bay Area Collegiate and Professional sports scene.
Board Member & Investor – Bain Capital Ventures
Ajay represents Bain Capital Ventures (BCV) on the Captora Board and has been a part of the Captora story from day 1, incubating the company out of BCV’s Palo Alto office.
Ajay joined BCV in 2003 to focus on early stage mobile, internet, and software investments. Previously, Ajay spent 7+ years at Trilogy Software. As head of sales and marketing, Ajay grew Trilogy’s annual revenues to $300 million and led product expansion into new areas such as enterprise pricing and enterprise incentive management. Prior to Trilogy, Ajay was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Ajay has a BS in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Ajay also holds a patent for the “Method and Apparatus of Configuration Solutions.”
Board Member & Investor – New Enterprise Associates
Scott is a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates, Inc. (NEA) and head of NEA’s Technology investing practice. Since 1996, Scott has led investments in companies like Bloom Energy, Salesforce.com, Tableau Software, WebEx, and Workday. Scott has been named to the Forbes Midas List several times, with 16 technology companies in his portfolio having successfully completed public offerings or mergers. Prior to NEA, Scott was a Product Manager at Microsoft. Before Microsoft, Scott was the first salesperson at C-ATS Software and later founded and ran the company’s European subsidiary. Scott began his career at the Boston Consulting Group and holds an MBA from Stanford and an AB in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
